The Imperial War Museum (North) at Salford Quays, Manchester.
Opened in 2002. The unusual aluminium clad building was
designed by Daniel Libeskind. It represents the rearranged
fragments of a broken globe. It stands opposite 'The Lowry'
(opened in 2000) on the other side of the Manchester Ship Canal
- connected by the elegant 92 metre long Lowry Footbridge.
