Here are a few links which qualify because I like them, and that's good enough for me!
Please note that each link will open in a new window. When you have finished looking at a link just close down the window and you will be back here.

Please report any discontinued URLs and I will axe them immediately!

  • HTML Goodies - Joe Burns. - This is an excellent HTML tutorial from Joe Burns. It covers everything from the beginner's first steps to advanced use of Javascript, CGI scripting, DHTML (whatever that is!) and so on. I was well impressed - in fact I bought the book 'HTML Goodies' (highly recommended to anyone interested in web authoring).

  • WEST WALES PHOTO ALBUM - Lots of photos (over 400 at last count) of a wonderful part of Britain. It doesn't pretend to be an arty Website, but the photos are worth a look - they are categorised by area.

  • ALUN J. RICHARDS - author - This website gives details of Alun's books on Welsh slate quarries. The books are invaluable references for anyone intending to visit the quarries. Alun tells you where they are and what you will find when you get there. Alun, a former engineer in the industry, has spent 40 years studying its archaeology and methods. Don't go exploring without a 'Richards' in your rucksack!

  • ON LINE - the Northwich 8E magazine - The 8E Association is a small group of UK railway enthusiasts from Northwich, Cheshire. They have an 'e-zine' which I inflicted upon them (they were quite pleased really) - have a look at the photos if you like the steam scene. I update the pages when time permits. Other UK railway links are included.

  • "Jack's Snaps" - Jack Carr's website - Jack Carr is my son (11) who loves railways, Harry Potter stories and peanut butter. He takes photos whenever he is on holiday or visiting his favourite steam railways. I put this site together so that Jack could exhibit his photos to the world (and impress his friends).

  • "Dyffryn Nantlle - a landscape of neglect" - This is my modest photo essay of the abandoned slate quarries of the Nantlle Vale, near Caernarfon, North Wales. The book can be purchased at a ridiculous price - I have sold 1800 copies and made NO profit! And to think I could have been rich. Don't feel sorry for me, just grab your copy before I run out.
